                                                             About Our Olive Oils 

            Our Oils come from northern California, we use a special blend of 3 types of olives. Did you know that olive oil contains a powerhouse chemical property that makes it very beneficial to our health? This special compound is called flavenoid polyphenols, and many people are taking note that some olive oils consist of more polyphenols than other olive oil variants. Olive Oil contains the highest amount of polyphenols than any other edible product, which makes it an essential part of our daily diets to maintain good health. Polyphenols serve countless purposes, and are beneficial in many ways. They are now known as a natural anti-inflammatory. They have been shown to have a host of beneficial effects from healing sunburn to lowering cholesterol, blood pressure, and risk of coronary disease. They have also been linked to slower aging and overall better health.

             As for our flours for Pasta, we use only the finest grains and ingredients, as with our Gluten Free flours (Coming Soon) we want to bring you a product to put on your table you'd be proud to call your own, and serve to your family.

                                                    Balsamic Vinegars of Modena Italy

             One of the joys of using Creations4You Balsamic Vinegar is that it tends to be very simple to use in food  preparations, it takes so little to get the flavor. It's easy to use, after whatever your making just drizzle some on it'll be great.  Here are some tips for using it. Combine 3 parts to 1 or 2 parts to one, depending on your taste, with olive oil, salt and pepper to taste, toss in with green salads. Just before you remove your  spaghetti sauce off stove, stir in a teaspoon or 2 of balsamic vinegar. Or add a teaspoon or more to your stew. Try this, sprinkle freshly sliced tomatoes with fresh-ground black pepper and drizzle  it with Creations4You Barrel-Aged Balsamic Vinegar, for a real treat try some of our flavored Balsamic.

               We have some new flavors coming out this month, which include My Grilling Sauce, My Wing Sauce, these are both a little different than our other Balsamic they are more of a sauce and marinade, but oh so good.

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

 Spareribs with Balsamic Glaze


Ingredients:
 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 
2 tablespoons chopped rosemary leaves 
1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt 
1 1/2 tablespoons fennel seeds 
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper 
2 teaspoons chopped sage 
2 teaspoons chopped thyme 
2 teaspoons sweet paprika 
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper 
1 teaspoon ground coriander 
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice 
6 pounds pork spareribs 
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

 In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, rosemary, kosher salt, fennel, black pepper, sage, thyme, paprika, crushed red pepper, coriander and allspice. Rub the spice paste all over the spareribs and let stand at room temperature for 2 hours or refrigerate overnight. 
Preheat the oven to 325°. Arrange the ribs on a large, rimmed baking sheet or roasting pan, meaty side up. Roast the ribs for 2 hours, or until tender. 
Preheat the broiler. Brush the meaty side of the ribs with the balsamic vinegar and broil 6 inches from the heat until browned, about 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes, then cut between the ribs and serve. 



                            Butter Replacement 

                    For a Healthy Alrernative To Butter

            Ronda’s Gluten Free     
          Shortbread Cookie Mix
                 What you need:

1 package of Ronda’s Gluten Free Shortbread Cookie Mix 18 oz. 
1 ¼ sticks (10tbs) room temperature butter cut into 8 pieces
2 large egg yolks, 1 2/3 Tbsp water

Get Prepared: Preheat oven to 375 degrees, line a baking sheet (non stick) with parchment paper.
Mixing: In a large mixing bowl beat butter on medium speed for 30 sec. or until smooth. Beat in egg yolk, and then beat in water. On low speed beat in cookie mix in 3 stages; first ½ cup, then ½ the cookie mix, and then the remaining cookie mix, mix well until thoroughly blended. Dough should look dry and crumbly. Gather dough into ball with hands and massage until very smooth. Divide dough in half.
Place one half dough on parchment paper (or not) then top with wax paper and roll out to about ¼ inch, cut w/cookie cutter to make about 2 inch cookies and place an inch apart on cookie sheet, roll again mixing scraps of dough and other half back in until all cookie dough is used to make about 18 cookies. 
Baking Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 12 -15 minutes, or until cookies just start to brown around edges. Cool cookies on wire rack then move from baking sheet to cool completely. Repeat until all cookie dough is used. For something a little different try adding your favorite jam or jelly or even pepper jelly to the center before baking. (Could be used as an appetizer)  
Alternate recipe- for more like a thick cracker substitute buttermilk for water, add ½ c store bought grated parmesan cheese to dry ingredients, make cookie like the original recipe.
